coa is an award winning architects’ office established in London in 2002 and now based in Dorset.
Our projects include commercial, educational and residential design.

coa are interested in making contemporary buildings that respond to their location, to their physical and cultural context.

We are interested in designing well, exploring possibilities and creating imaginative solutions that exceed the client’s expectations.

Our services are tailored to cover every aspect of a client’s needs, from initial concept design through to completion. By working collaboratively with our clients, contractors and consultant team we work hard to develop designs that make the most of the client’s budget.

Rachel O’Borne, BA (Hons) Arch, Dipl Arch, ARB, RIBA

Rachel O’Borne qualified as an architect in 1997, following studies at Canterbury College of Art
and Kingston University, where she graduated with a Diploma in Architecture with Commendation.
She is a registered architect and member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.

Prior to setting up Cray Oborne Architects Rachel worked for Nick Evans Architects, Dols Wong Architects and Priestman Architects in London. The projects she led and were involved in ranged in value from £100K to £10 million and covered the education, residential and commercial sectors. These projects included a number of high end house refurbishments across London, a couture wedding dress shop in Knightsbridge and the extension and refurbishment of Euphorium Bar and Restaurant in Islington. At Nick Evans Architects she developed a comprehensive understanding of educational projects. She was senior project architect for a £8 million masterplan of Southwark Colllege and its subsequent execution over 3 sites in London.
